Welcome Y’all to Episode 50 of Tenn & Two!
Today we are just here to hang out and reminisce as we celebrate the 50th episode of our podcast. What started as a conversation between two ladies at a coffee shop somehow turned into all of this. We say this a lot but it’s true…we said we’d have been happy if 20 people listened to us each week. The fact that there are thousands of you makes us speechless. So to celebrate this milestone for us, today we are just going to hang out, talk watches, answer questions, and laugh to our heart’s content.
Instead of our usual show notes, we ladies wanted to do something different and thank you all. So sit back, listen, enjoy, and please know that the following truly comes from the bottom of our hearts.
Dear Tenn & Two Family,
That’s a word that we don’t use lightly, family. Calling you all listeners or fans just doesn’t seem enough to really convey how important to us all you are. Whether you’ve listened to us from day one, joined in the middle, or have recently stumbled across our podcast, you are our family. As this episode has drawn more and more near, it has given us ladies time to really reflect on where the podcast began and where it is now.
These 50 episodes have been a whirlwind of an experience to say the least. In case you haven’t listened to us discuss this before, we ladies didn’t really know eachother before this all began. We both followed one another on Instagram and chatted from time to time, but it wasn’t until Kat came to a watch club meetup that we met for the first time. A DM later that night about getting together to discuss a podcast led to a meeting at a coffee shop here in town where we instantly clicked. One week later we were recording our first podcast and the rest is history. That’s one of the most unexpected experiences about this whole thing, the friendship that the two of us have formed with one another from that first meetup and that will most definitely last a lifetime.
But enough about us, this letter is to you. “Thank you” will never be enough. Those two words could never fully express our love, appreciation, and gratitude to all of you. Honestly, we never anticipated the level of support that we have received from y’all. It’s incredibly humbling and even overwhelming at times (in the best of ways of course). From the comments, to the DMs and texts, the love was definitely there and we can’t tell you enough how much we appreciate it. We all use the term “watch fam”, but it really is an actual thing. Without your support and listening and sharing our podcast, we would not be where we are today and for that we are eternally grateful.
You’ll never know the amount of times a day that we text eachother screenshots of supportive DMs, nice comments, and great reviews that are left about us. No matter how often it happens, it still touches our hearts every single time and pushes us to continue. Yes, this is a lot of work, especially when trying to balance out full time jobs, families, and having some sort of social life (which mostly just consists of watch club meetups), but your kind words make every moment worth it. It feels like we know so many of you on a personal level from how much we have spoken online, and some of you we have had the opportunity to meet in person. The watch fam has to be one of the most amazing communities of people around. No matter where we go, we know that we always have family around and this was evident with our first trip together out to the Bay Area last December.
As much as we’ve accomplished in 50 episodes, we promise you one thing…we are not done! We have big plans for the podcast and can’t wait to see where we are at episode 100. Mostly, we look forward to getting to know so many more of you, whether in travels or messaging. Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts thank you. You guys and gals are the most awesome community of people and we are incredibly lucky to have your love, passion, support, and encouragement at our back.
These are trying times for everyone right now. It is our hope to provide a little joy, happiness, and distraction during these darkest of days. Take care of yourselves y’all. And take care of eachother. We truly wish you and your families, friends, and loved ones all of the best.
With Love From Us Both,
Kat and Katlen
